Yes. After 25 days in Rockhampton, Australia. The exercise on the whole wasn't very bad. I went with zero info of what i was supposed to do there. Eventually, it turned out that i would be doing the same job that i have been doing, CCIS PC, but only at a higher level (div).
I was working with many of the NSmen officers and it was rather fun. Learnt alot from them. They have seen so much. All from 26 to 30 and even 40 years of age. The exercise proper took about 1 wwek plus. Before that , were all the pre-ex prep. Syytem hook-up, comm recce (if you know what i mean).
Well, no doubt the NSmen officers are nice guys, but the regulars were not so. Esp the dyS3. "xiao li chang dao" -- hidden sword behind his smiles. More or less close to the "farker" group. haha. The way he talks to his superiors and subordinates are so different. A bootlicker by nature i guess. What's even worse is the way he works. Always trying to push the blames away to others. Okay, that's enough of an ass-hole.
Coming to the R&R part (rest and relax). On the 20th Nov, Saturday, we will given a day off in town, Rockhampton town. It was a 'ghost' town on weekends. All shops were closed very early. Some weren't even opened. Me and my guys went to find some cheap accom for a night and went on to the town area to explore. Only a few shops were opened '7 days' a week. Other than that, nothing much.
What's more. We were shouted and cursed at by many Aussies along the way to the town. So scary. Haha. First time at the receiving end of discrimination. i wonder why. Perhaps they thought we were from china and were there to fight with them for them rice bowl. Haha. There was also a kid that thought we were jap. Greeted "konichiwa". So funny, haha.
The night life there were nothing much also. A few night clubs and bars. That's about all. Went to this strip club and take a look. Haha, that was an eye-opener. The gals danced on the bar top with poles, trying to seduce the people sittng in front to tip them. Once tipped, they will perform a strip-tease for the tipper. They really stripped naked but no one was supposed to touch them. There were bouncers around. What's more. You could also pay for a private lap dance. Never tried those, only went there to see free show.
Went to the pub over dance and have a rather 'havoc' night. Danced and drank whole night. haha. Danced with the angmos. Co-incidentally, there was a bikini competition Heat1 that night. Haha, "tan dio" again. free show!
Okay, i shall stop here. There are more to these but i guess i shan't continue. Will ahre with you guys more if given the chance.
